Jeevamrut - Formula, Usage & Nutrient Values
Cow dung and Gomutra are well know fertilizers used by our ancestors for ages. The results of this fertilizer needs no proof. Jeevamrut uses the goodness of these two items and enriches the yield of the crops and the soil it is planted in.
The formula for Jeevamrut is as follows:
- 50 KG desi cow dung (गोबर)
- 40 Liter desi cow urine (गोमूत्र)
- 10 KG gram flour (बेसन)
- 10 KG jaggery (गुढ़)
- 4 kg mud under the banyan tree (बरगद के पेड़ के तने की मट्टी)

The nutrient composition of Beejamrut, Jeevamrut and their constituents reveals that Beejamrut is alkaline and Jeevamrut is acidic in nature. They are good source of macro and micro nutrients.
